Whether you are a keen cook wanting to learn some new skills, or you just want to start eating healthily, but don’t know where to start, we can create a bespoke cooking lesson to give you the skills and knowledge you need to achieve your cooking goals.
Our private cooking lessons are held in your own home. All we need is a working kitchen in which to show you the ropes and we’ll bring the rest. We are based in Bath but can travel to Bristol, Gloucester and the wider Somerset area.
Whether you’re a keen amateur chef wanting to impress friends and family with a special meal, or have never cooked a meal from scratch before, we can cater our cooking lessons to suit your skills and previous experience. Just let us know what you want to achieve from the lesson and we’ll tailor the content to suit. Some of the most popular lesson types include meat and fish preparation, fine dining, BBQ cooking, canapes, vegetarian dishes, healthy eating, special diets, fresh pasta and patisserie.
Our cooking lessons are all about getting YOU to do the cooking. The best way to learn is to have a go and do it yourself, so roll your sleeves up and get involved! Our head chef, Tim, will talk you through and demonstrate all of the steps and provide you with lots of help and friendly guidance during the session.
We believe in only using the very best ingredients when working in the kitchen. By using fresh, seasonal produce, we can create dishes that are full of flavour and aroma. We source a majority of our produce from suppliers in Bath, Bristol, Somerset and across the South West, and we’ll select a fine selection of produce to bring to your cooking lesson.
Your cooking lesson will be run by our head chef, Tim Collins. Tim is a culinary pro and learned how to cook from some of the very best restaurants and chefs in the country including The Arts Club, Gordon Ramsay at Claridges, Alyn Williams at the Westbury and the Bath Priory. Tim will share some of his key skills with you during the lesson and pass on expert knowledge and tips and tricks of the trade that he has acquired over the years.
If you want to learn to cook with friends we can create lessons for small groups. As long as you have the space to fit everyone in your kitchen, we can cook up a storm together! This is a great idea for a celebration such as a birthday or hen/stag party.
A lesson can be anything from 3 to 6 hours long depending on what you want to learn and how much time you have. We select 2 or 3 dishes that we can teach you to cook within that time and we give you the recipes to keep for future reference. We cover everything from preparing the meat or veg, though to plating up the food and making it look incredible.
